RIDING EAST TOMORROW!!!

Yee Haw!! Ready Set Go!! House sitter, check! Bags packed, check! Leathers ready, check!! Tire pressure and oil checked! Now if I can just sleep tonight so I am rested for the road tomorrow!! I am soooo READY to ROLL!! BTW, I want to commend the lady I saw riding down Alsbury around lunch time today. I followed her into the Arby's parking lot to tell her she was quite impressive on the road. I love seeing women riders that take command of the road with their bikes. Made me proud!! I passed on my comments to her with a scratched out www.roseyroads.com on paper to lead her to this blog. Anyone that rides has my respect, but to see women riders excites me for my gender. There was a time when I didn't see that many of us out there. Ride on Chicky, you rock!! YEE HAW ROSEY

East Texas Here We Come!

Jacksonville, Texas to be exact!

Yepper, we are going on a weekend ride. These crisp mornings are perking up my wanna go impulses. The Red Angel aka my bike has been in the garage way too much this year. Money and other STUFF gets in the way of my hearts desire!! The open road is calling to my soul!! "Thunder In The Pines" check it out at www.jacksonvillerally.com Gonna be a good time in the sweet piney woods on back roads that to me are part of my childhood, I'm a Tyler girl, so these are familiar roads. Some of them will be new to the Red Angel but when I'm in East Texas, it's all heaven!!

Caddo Lake State Park....Spring Fling of 2012

Tomorrow WE RIDE!! YEE HAW!!

We started out 6 and ended up with 4. Life happens and two of our riders had other obligations at this time. That's ok...I'm good as long as "I" get to ride!! Caddo Lake State Park here we come. KSU at 9ish tomorrow morning. This is a laid back girly ride. Love the asphalt time with my girl friends!!

Thumper is our blonde with the very long hair in the pic, she is also our photographer. We will have LOT'S of pics to share next week when we return. I swear she see's things!! Her outlook thru the lens is very special

Tina Rae is the smiley face on the end with glasses. This will be her first girl ride. I am so excited to have her with us this year.

Then there Ms. Diana at the top center. She has a real nice route thru Louisianan for Sunday ride. She also researched all the area to give us options for day rides.

Then the blonde with the red cross on her do-rag is little ole me... Rosey! I set the dates and get the lodging in order. You might say I'm the Trail Boss...not really tho, cause we are having a no pressure ride.

Spring Fling for Lady Riders only!

Well, our ride is getting closer. Leaving a week from today to ride to Caddo Lake State Park in East Texas. Will be doing some riding in Louisiana, gonna find the oldest town called Natchitoches. Yep, that's Natchitoches not Nacogdoches which is in Texas. Both are the oldest towns for their states. Legend goes that Chief Caddo had two sons, Natchitoches and Nacogdoches, he told one to go East and one to go West to settle. So they did and that's what we got! Can't wait to eat a Cajun Meat Pie!! Heard they are amazing.

Of course on the way to Natchitoches we will stop at the boats in Shreveport to donate our fare share.

The rest of the trip will be touristy stuff in Jefferson and we want to attend a fleamarket in Uncertain Texas. If you don't know where Uncertain is, google it, it's a real place and REAL primitive. Gotta love it!!

I'm just gonna enjoy riding with my girlfriends. Slow and easy. No Worries! No Whiners! No Weiners!

It's Time for a GIRLS RIDE!!

LADY'S only!! No Worries, No Whiners and No Wieners!!

Gonna ride EAST in April. Yepper, I have rounded up 5 other women riders and the money has been placed on lodging at the Caddo Lake State Park. We will make it a 4 day trip. Home base will be the lake cabins, with only day trips this year. For fun one day we will mosey over to Shreveport to gamble a little, it's only an hour away. Other than that we might also do a little boat tour of the lake. Real touristy stuff this trip. Just need some girlfriend time away from the big city.
